In his #SAIPH2024 talk focused on AI at the bedside, Timothy Ruchti, director of algorithms at Nihon Kohden Digital Health Solutions, highlighted recent advancements in the state-of-the-art and provided examples illustrating their potential impact.

"It’s important for model development to begin and end in the clinic: That is, pick a solution worth solving for a clinician, and then consider how that solution is going to be integrated in the clinic," Ruchti said. "That’s the cutting-edge research approach of Rai Winslow at The Roux Institute at Northeastern University. They’re conducting research in collaboration with Maine Health."
